Anyone interested in being an ambassador from the Byng Arts Student Council at the Regular Student Council Meetings?
Responsibilities: - Attend the meetings of both the Byng Arts Student Council and the Regular Student Council - Represent the voice of the Byng Arts Student Council and the Byng Arts Student Body at the Regular Student Council Meetings - Voice the concerns and proposals of the Byng Arts Student Council at the Regular Student Council Meetings - Report to the Byng Arts Student Council on important things that took place at the Regular Student Council Meetings
Benefits - Service Hours - Be in touch with the workings of both student councils - Meet cool people - Help the communication between the two councils - Defend the pride of Byng Arts Student - And many more
Please nominate yourself here. If you're interested, come to the Regular Student Council Meeting on Wednesday Lunch in Mr. Lo's Room. If no one nominates themself, then I will run for Byng Arts Rep myself at the next meeting against Scott. So please do the council a favor by taking this position, and please do me a favor by not pushing me to the limits of exhausion ;D. Wish me luck on the election... I'll need it since I really don't have the confidence of winning this time.

This topic was raised during our last meeting. Unfortunately no one stepped forward to take this position. I've thought about it over the weekend and decided that I simply cannot take this position myself, as I've too much to do. The reality is that if I took it, I would not be able to fulfill the expected responsibilities since I won't be able to attend all the meetings. I'm a person who believes in fulfilling whatever I step up for. Since I most obviously cannot fulfill the duties, to step up for the position would be committing a dishonest offence. Thus at the next regular student council meeting, I will announce that the Byng Arts Student Council has forfeitted the position of Byng Arts Representative in the regular student council.
The person running for the position, Scott, is in Byng Arts, but has no experience in the Byng Arts Student Council. I will further announce that the Byng Arts Student Council currently does not recognize his voice as a representation of the will of our council, but would recognize his representation under certain conditions. Scott's responsibility as a Byng Arts Representative is to attend the meetings of both student councils and to communicate between the two councils. Scott must come to the Byng Arts Student Council this Thursday lunch to deliver his election speech. The Byng Arts Student Council would then take a vote of approval and formally recognize his position as a Byng Arts Representative.
If you would still like to take the position, it is not yet too late. Just show up on Wednesday lunch with an election speech prepared for the position of Byng Arts Representative. The meeting is held in Mr. Lo's Room. If the position is contested, then I will propose that the election be held the day afterwards in the Byng Arts Student Council. The reason for this is that the position is to represent the voice of Byng Arts students. A vote in the regular student council would mean that non Byng Arts students would affect the decision of who should represent Byng Arts. It is only fair if the Byng Arts Student Council, a council of only Byng Arts students, decide who should represent their voice.
